GALANTHUS ELWESII – GIANT / GREATER SNOWDROP 🌱

Beautiful early-flowering snowdrop – a superb addition to the winter and early spring garden!

Galanthus elwesii, commonly known as the Giant Snowdrop or Greater Snowdrop, is a particularly attractive species with larger, nodding white flowers and broader grey-green foliage than the familiar common snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis).

The elegant white blooms feature distinctive green markings on the inner segments, creating a lovely contrast and making this species especially eye-catching when planted in groups.

🌿 GROWING INFORMATION

Plant bulbs in moist but well-drained soil, ideally in partial shade or dappled sunlight. They are particularly effective beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, where they can flower before the tree canopy develops.

Plant in groups for the best display and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering, helping the bulbs build up reserves for the following season.

Once established, Galanthus elwesii can naturalise and gradually form attractive colonies.

Please note: Bulbs are living plants and may vary slightly in size and appearance according to the season. Photographs are for illustration purposes unless otherwise stated.

🌱 A wonderful opportunity to add these beautiful early-spring flowers to your garden!
